Refund Policy

1. Overview
FINTAXCON provides professional chartered accountancy, tax advisory, and compliance services. As the nature of our services involves significant time, expertise, and effort from the point of engagement, our refund policy is structured to be fair to both the client and the firm.
2. Service-Based Refund Policy
2.1 Before Commencement of Work
If you wish to cancel a service before we have commenced any work:
- Full refund of the professional fee will be provided
- Any government fees already paid on your behalf are non-refundable
- Cancellation must be communicated in writing via email to [email protected]
2.2 After Work Has Commenced
Once we have started working on your engagement:
- Fees for work already completed are non-refundable
- A proportionate refund may be provided for the uncompleted portion, calculated based on the work done
- FINTAXCON will provide a detailed breakdown of work completed to justify the charges
2.3 After Service Completion
Once a service has been fully delivered (return filed, audit completed, registration done, etc.):
- No refund will be applicable as the service has been consumed
- If there are quality concerns, we will re-examine and rectify the work at no additional cost
3. Government Fees & Third-Party Charges
The following are always non-refundable regardless of service cancellation:
- Government filing fees (GST registration, ROC fees, RERA fees, etc.)
- Stamp duty and notary charges
- Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) purchase costs
- Any third-party software or tool costs incurred on your behalf
4. Subscription / Retainer Services
For ongoing retainer or subscription-based services:
- You may cancel with 30 days written notice
- Refund will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for the remaining period
- Any work already in progress will be completed and billed accordingly
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please:
- Send an email to [email protected] with subject "Refund Request"
- Include your client name, invoice number, and reason for the refund
- Our team will review your request within 5 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days via the original payment method
6. Dispute Resolution
If you are unsatisfied with a refund decision, you may escalate the matter to our senior partner. We are committed to resolving all disputes amicably and professionally. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
